Face Lift/ Rhytidectomy
Face Lift/ Rhytidectomy
A face lift (wrinkle removal) that improves wrinkles and sagging cheeks and leads to a youthful look. This procedure pulls back the skin folds and alters the tissue beneath the skin for a more youthful appearance. A neck lift (lattis dorsi) is often done as part of a facelift to reduce skin fat buildup and sagging neck skin.
A facelift usually takes 2-4 hours, but it may take longer if other corrective procedures are used at the same time. Broadly speaking, a facelift involves lifting the skin and correcting hidden tissues and muscles. Face and neck fat can be etched, removed, or redistributed. The facial skin is draped over a recently repositioned facial mold, excess skin is removed, and the wound is sutured or taped closed.
